Miss World 2012 will be the 62nd edition of the Miss World pageant to be held on August 18 in Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China.[1] Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela will crown her successor at the end of the event.

  •  Barbados: Marielle Wilkie was appointed as "Miss Barbados World 2012" by the Miss Barbados World Organisation. Marielle was a contestant in the Miss World Barbados 2011 pageant and winner of the pageant's Beauty With A Purpose award.
  •  Japan: Nozomi Igarashi was appointed to represent Japan. She was one of the top 4 finalists in the Miss International Japan 2012 pageant held on November 20, 2011.
  •  Portugal: Melanie Vicente was appointed as "Miss Republica Portugesa Mundo 2012" after a casting call took place.
