Marie-Louise Damien

Marie-Louise Damien (December 5, 1889 - January, 1978) was a French singer and actress who used the stage name Damia.

Born on in Paris, France, she was a great star of the music hall era of Montparnasse. She was called "the tragic actress of song".

In 1927, she appeared in the film, Napoléon directed by Abel Gance with early silent film stars Antonin Artaud, Philippe Hériat, Annabella, and Suzanne Bianchetti.

Damia died at La Celle-Saint-Cloud, France and is interred in the Cimetière de Pantin in Paris.
