The sixth season of Psych, consisting of 16 episodes, will premiere on the USA Network in the United States in the summer of 2011. James Roday, Dulé Hill, Timothy Omundson, Maggie Lawson, Corbin Bernsen and Kirsten Nelson are all expected to reprise their roles as the main characters. The season may contain a sequel episode to the Twin Peaks-inspired fifth season episode "Dual Spires" (5.12),[1] along with a confirmed vampire-themed episode[2] and possible musical and baseball-themed episodes.[3] Production for the season began in late March, 2011.[4]
Cast
James Roday will continue in his tenure as the fake psychic detective Shawn Spencer. Dulé Hill will continue to portray Burton "Gus" Guster. Timothy Omundson and Maggie Lawson will appear as detectives Carlton "Lassie" Lassiter and Juliet "Jules" O'Hara. Corbin Bernsen will portray Henry Spencer, and Kirsten Nelson will return as SBPD Chief Karen Vick.
As with the previous five seasons, many guest stars are expected to make appearances. Confirmed guests for the season include Malcolm McDowell[4] and Kristy Swanson.[2] It is unknown whether Sage Brocklebank, Kurt Fuller, Skyler Gisondo and Carlos McCullers II, or Cybill Shepherd will return in their prominent recurring roles as Buzz McNab, Woody the Coroner, young Shawn and young Gus, or Madeleine Spencer (respectively).
