Christina Green (commonly referred to as Tina Green) is a Monacan-based, [[South Africa]n-born businesswoman who owns 2,300 shops in the UK. Her assets include [1]:

  • Sears 'Shoe Express' chain.
  • 53% owner of Owen Owen Holdings
  • In September 1999, Tina became a shareholder in the parent of Mark One
  • £23m-plus shareholding was during an attempt on at Marks & Spencer at the beginning of 2000

Mrs Green currently controls 12% of the UK clothing retail market, making her empire the second-largest in the sector. The leader, Marks and Spencer, has been the target of three unsuccessful takeover bids from Mrs Green's companies.

She is set to become a shareholder and director of music mogul Simon Cowell's expanded "Syco" record label and television production company.[3]
