The Officer in Charge (OIC) is the Police Officer in command of a Police Station. He/she is in charge of most of the investigations of the station and for maintenance of law and order within that police area.

The post is common in the Sri Lanka Police Service and is held by a junior gazetted officer of the rank of Chief Inspector of Police (CIP), Inspector of Police (IP) or Sub Inspector of Police (SI), depending on the size of the police station.
