Paliometocho

Paliometocho - Also refered as Palaiometocho in the Mainland Greek Dialect, it is a village found in the mid East of the Island of Cyprus. Paliometocho is inhabited by about 6000 people, and it mainly functions as a suburb of Lefkosia, the capital of Cyprus. It is the second largest village as far as land size on the island. It's name is derived from the Greek "Palio" (old) and "Metochio" (inn). It's name was given to it because it used to be a rest stop used by pilgrims who visited the Kykkos monastery. Paliometocho's mouchtar is Andreas Kettenis.
