Thanks

I forgot to say thanks for participating in my RfA, and I'm taking all the opinions into consideration, so that I can be more successful next-time. Also, I'm hoping to attempt my second RfA in about June to July time. Hopefully I will have gained the qualities necessary by then. Thanks again. --EclipseSSD (talk) 21:19, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Flight Officer insignia

I vectorized almost all of the insignia you requested in the Graphic Lab/Images to improve section (No patience to deal with the one that has letters. I don't suppose you know what typeface that is? ;] ). Let me know if they work. =) MissMJ (talk) 02:19, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Melanoma 2.jpg

Thank you for your help! Of course, those images should be deleted. NCurse work 19:50, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I uploaded those before becoming an admin. :) NCurse work 19:54, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Hey there. I appreciate your support in my RfA - my last comment there was merely to keep things from blowing up. Sometimes those arguments get big and attract even more attention, and the whole thing sort of snowballs. Nothing personal to you! Tan | 39 20:46, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User page

Cheers for removing the vandalism there. Theone00 (talk) 04:03, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Question

I'm still a member, but I'm displaced from my home squadron by 100 miles. We have an L-Per (last time I checked), but access wouldn't be soon. What's up? Huntster (t@c) 22:58, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, see if you can find something else, but if not, remind me in a while and I'll try to get some pictures next time I go home. Huntster (t@c) 23:06, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Checked with my father who is also a member, and we definitely still have the L-Per, and I'll be heading back home in early July, so hopefully I'll remember the camera and get that shot for you. Huntster (t@c) 21:41, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I can try and get a picture or two before then. Not sure what I'll be able to swing, the only L-Per my unit has regular access to is the private property of a member. --OuroborosCobra (talk) 23:53, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Go ahead OC...I'll still try to get a pic of my own. No such thing as "too many" :) Huntster (t@c) 23:57, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I should have my hands on an L-Per tomorrow. Will try to get pictures then. --OuroborosCobra (talk) 23:58, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

Hey, thanks for reverting the vandalism to my user talk page. I appreciate it! — Super-Magician (talk contribs count) 20:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Counter

Hey Robert. I saw you added an edit counter to your page, was wondering if you had seen this one. It's my favorite, for sure, and faster/better than those Perl scripts... anyways, just letting you know. Tan | 39 20:40, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Missouri University of Science and Technology Nuclear Reactor

Updated DYK query On 3 July, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Missouri University of Science and Technology Nuclear Reactor, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Graphics lab vectors

Someone has SVGified all of the rank insignian for the CAP (finally). If everything looks OK, can you mark it {{resolved}} so it can be archived (If there are still things to be done, they should be mentioned so someone can finish the request). Thanx, 68.39.174.238 (talk) 14:18, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks, that works. —  scetoaux (T|C) 20:46, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Question

Of course... almost every squadron has one. My squadron has the newer, yellow self-contained unit that provides a more user-friendly layout, but the idea is the same. I also report to our Wing HQ weekly, which has numerous units. Codharris (talk) 00:03, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thank you

Thank you!
Scetoaux, it is with deep awareness of the responsibility conferred by your trust that I am honored to report that in part to your support, my request for adminship passed (87/14/6). I deeply value the trust you and the Wikipedia community have in me, and I will embark on a new segment of my Wikipedia career by putting my new tools to work to benefit the entire community. My best to you, Happyme22 (talk) 03:43, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fuddruckers

I already provided references. What more do you want? A PDF copy of the lawsuit?

DC —Preceding unsigned comment added by Darsen Chen (talkcontribs) 22:29, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know you deleted the comments you posted on my page. I appreciate you expressing your concern. First off, I reverted 3 times. WP:3RR states, "An editor must not perform more than three reverts..." That does not make edit warring OK. I will apologize that my actions gave the apperance of improper action. I have no strong opinions and really dont care about the fuddruckers articles. I do believe that articles on companies are not supposed to be a list of every negative bit of information against them (which is what I felt the intent of Darsen chen was when adding the information to the article). I was not the only editor who shared this opinion as jaysweet and gogododo reverted the additions as well with edit summaries stating, "...Need to establish notability of this case..." and "Lawsuit not established as notable." His repeated insertion of the information disregarding the concerns of editors was disruptive in my opinion and deserved a warning. I will apologize if this caused any inconvenience on your part, and do recognzie you redacted your concerns (I however wanted to take the time to address them). Hope this helps. RFA Thanks

Thank you for participating in my RfA, Scetoaux!
I am grateful for your confidence: My RfA passed by a count of 64/3/3, so I am now an administrator! Of course, I plan to conduct my adminship in service of the community, so I believe the community has a right to revoke that privilege at any time. Thus, I will be open for recall under reasonable circumstances. If you have any advice, complaints, or concerns for me, please let me know. Again, Thanks! RfA Thanks

Thank you for participating in my RfA, wich was successful with 73 support, 6 oppose, and 5 neutral.

I'll try to be as clear as I can in my communication and to clear some of the admin backlog on images.

If there is anything I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page!

Cheers, --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 15:08, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting old username

Hi Scetoaux, I was wondering if I could change my old signature here to my present username. I'm trying to get rid of all my sigs from that old username. Thanks! LittleMountain5 15:27, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: L-Per

No, I've not been home again to fetch an image, but I've not forgotten about it. To be honest, I really don't know when I'll be going back, but given how long it's been, hopefully sooner rather than later. Huntster (t@c) 06:42, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rfa

Best of luck on your rfa! I have already !voted! ;) --Cameron* 19:56, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ditto. I am impressed. Ecoleetage (talk) 11:55, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfA oppose

Please accept my sincerest apologies for my horrible - horrible - !vote on your RfA. To borrow a time-honored phrase: "I don't know what was going through my head". I guess I got confused amongst a Latin-y username and a Greek-y username. Once again, I'm terribly sorry, and I hope the RfA doesn't drag you down too much. Good luck! Badger Drink (talk) 20:03, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely no need to apologize. We all make mistakes. I know I do. :) —  scetoaux (T|C) 20:04, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA

Most unfortunate these turn of events, but it's certainly not uncommon at RfA. I can understand why you would withdraw. Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Wisdom89 3. You'll have my support next time as well, Scetoaux. My advice to you would be to wait at least 6 months before reapplying for adminship. If you are still willing, I would probably nominate you. Wisdom89 (T / C) 05:36, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good for you dude - that's a great attitude. The fact that you are probably disappointed, yet encouraged to keep it open for constructive criticism speaks volumes. Wisdom89 (T / C) 06:24, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have a question. Was your comment to Balloonman meant to be a sarcastic jibe, or was it just a coincidence? I'm honestly curious. Wisdom89 (T / C) 16:12, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh ok, I wasn't even aware that was the incident that caused you to want to withdraw initially. I'd mollify it abit with a shout out to Balloonman (if you haven't already), but as long as you know it was just out of frustration. I've done the same thing before, at my previous RfAs, and others as well. Wisdom89 (T / C) 20:03, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA

Best wishes for your RFA -- Tinu Cherian - 05:25, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's ok. I haven't been doing any coaching with you because you said you would prefer freelancing for a while. I don't know if you will ever want to be coached again, and I guess we should really evaluate where we both stand on the coaching. Malinaccier (talk) 01:00, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Alright! I guess after your RfA goes through we can review concerns and such. I would be happy to provide reviews from time to time. Malinaccier (talk) 01:18, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your RFA 3

Your RFA 3 has been closed as unsuccessful, unfortunately. You are encouraged to work on areas of concern and try again in the future. Thank you for your interest. RlevseTalk 02:36, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Date autoformatting

Sorry for that reversion on the CAP article. I was not aware that any such consensus had been reached. To be blunt, I heartily, and unabashedly, hate this idea, and loath the ones who have bowled over any opposition to it. I for one will not be "obeying" this doctrine. Autoformatting is a good thing; I can't wait to see the havoc that is wrought when people start randomly formatting dates in articles...it has happened before, and it will happen again. Sorry if this comes across as overly harsh...it isn't aimed at you, just a bit of an apology/vent. Huntster (t@c) 01:43, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Inactive

I'm sorry to see you've gone inactive. I'm going to archive your coaching page for now, but if you ever begin editing again and wish to continue coaching, please contact me. Thanks, Malinaccier (talk) 19:59, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:I-robot.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:I-robot.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:04, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

L-Per pics

Hey Scetoaux, I know you are currently inactive, but if/when you return, I've gotten some fairly decent old-school L-Per and ELT Training Beacon photos if you still need them. Cheers! Huntster (t@c) 05:19, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Maryland Wing Civil Air Patrol

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Maryland Wing Civil Air Patrol, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Doesn't assert notability, no reason to suggest it's more notable than the 44 state wings that don't have them.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. 71.236.251.6 (talk) 06:35, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: In response to your comment on my talk page

I certainly hope you find time to return...you did good work. If you need any help reacclimating, lemme know. I'll upload a couple of those pics and put them in commons:Category:Civil Air Patrol. Huntster (t@c) 05:25, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage deletion request

Per your request, I've deleted your main page and all subpages (save for huggle.css and monobook.js...see [1]. If you need anything undeleted, just let me know :) Huntster (t@c) 22:35, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just saying hi

Hey Robert, this is probably the most unorthodox entry ever. Anyways, I was going through some *old* bookmarks and found the Maryland CAP entry, needless to say I was perplexed. Fast forward to now, I was thinking about that network we both frequented, and it clicked. Anyways, just stopping by to drop a line, say hi, and I must say I miss our chats about aviation. --Jeffrey (talk) 04:12, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
