Power Miners is an upcoming Lego theme, due to be released in January 2009.[1] The theme is a reboot of the Rock Raiders line, in the same way that Agents is a reboot of Alpha Team.

The theme is set underground, on the LEGO world. Mysterious crystalline monsters have tunneled from beneath the planet's surface to invade the LEGO world. A geologist, named "Brains", studies the monsters and discovers there are five types of them.[1]

The red type, Meltrox, are lava-types and constantly enraged. The yellow type, Sulfurix, are more intelligent than the others, and can instantly form tunnels. Nothing is known about the blue type, Glaciator, other than that the other types are afraid of them. Nothing is said about the last two types, the orange Firox, and the green Boulderax.[1]

Like in the original Rock Raiders, the monsters eat the power crystals, however one difference is that the crystals effect their abilities, meaning a red monster could change to a yellow. Another similarity is the "super power crystal", which seems to be the Power Miner version of the red energy crystal.[1]

Brains believes these creatures are responsible for the earthquakes that have recently happened. The geologist recruits a team of miners, using his new technology they tunnel deep into the planet.[1]

A online game, named Rock Rocket, featuring the monsters is planned to be released on November 28th.[1]
