In Greek mythology, Ischys Ισχυς was the son of Elatus and Hippea, and also the lover of Coronis. While Coronis was carrying Apollo's child, a (then white) bird called a crow told Apollo of the affair between Ischys and Coronis. Apollo was so angry that he had his sister, Artemis kill Coronis.
