I must take slight issue with this. In "Airwolf", Stringfellow Hawke was an Army Aviator, and his friend/mentor, Dominic Santini, had served in the Army Air Corps in WWII. Some of Bellisario's heros are Navy/Marine Corps, but not all.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Air Pirate (talkcontribs)

I suggest that the entry 'former member of the Armed Forces' be changed to 'former member of the Armed Forces, usually associated with the US Navy'. While Stringfellow Hawke was an Army Aviator and Dom Santini was Air Corps/USAF, the great majority of Bellisario's characters are either Navy or former Navy.

Thomas Magnum in Magnum, P.I. is a US Naval Academy graduate who was trained as a US Navy SEAL and was a Vietnam veteran.

Al Calavicci in Quantum Leap is a former Naval Aviator who worked for NASA and was a Rear Admiral.

Harmon “Harm” Rabb, Jr. in JAG is a US Naval Academy graduate who was initially a Naval Aviator before becoming a member of the Judge Advocate General's Corps, U.S. Navy.

Jethro Gibbs in NCIS is a former US Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant who was trained as a sniper before joining Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

Jethro Gibbs' entry would be consistant with the above statement as the Marines are attached to US Navy.

Nude women motif?

The article says "A second motif is the presence of a nude woman in certain episodes. This has been seen in the finale of Magnum, P.I., the episode A Leap For Lisa in Quantum Leap, and an episode of JAG." Is this really a motif? A single episode from three different series doesn't seem like much of a motif. --71.226.79.33 05:02, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Armed Forces Motif

I'm not denying that all the characters are/were in the Armed Forces, just that this is a motif. Is there a reliable source of Bellisario saying anything about this? Evil Monkey - Hello 05:12, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
