2024 facelift

China

The 2024 model year standard Tiggo 7 went on sale in China in May 2024, with an exterior design resembling the 2021 Tiggo 7 Plus PHEV while the interior design is largely unchanged.[14]

Global

At the 2024 Chery International Business Conference in Wuhu, Anhui, China in April 2024, Chery showcased an updated version of the export market Tiggo 7. It is based on the 2023 Tiggo 7 Plus with a redesigned front and rear fascia.[15]

Markets

The second-generation Tiggo 7 is exported under different monikers such as Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 7 Pro Max, depending on the market and specifications.

Australia

The Tiggo 7 Pro was introduced in Australia in August 2023,[16] with prices announced in September 2023. Adopting the styling used by the Chinese-spec 2021 Plus PHEV model, it is available in three grade levels: Urban, Elite and Ultimate.[17] All models were powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated with a 7-speed DCT. The Urban and Elite grades were front-wheel drive only, while the Ultimate grade is only available with standard all-wheel drive.

Following multiple introductions since January 2022,[18] the Tiggo 7 Pro was launched in Indonesia on 23 November 2022, alongside the Tiggo 8 Pro, as Chery's first models to the Indonesian market after a 6-year absence.[19] Sales were commenced in January 2023.[20] Adopting the exterior styling used by the Chinese-spec internal-combustion 2021 Plus model, the Tiggo 7 Pro is offered with three variants, namely the Comfort, Luxury and Premium, while only available with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine.[21] It is locally assembled at Handal Indonesia Motor's facility in Bekasi, West Java.[22]

Rebadged versions

Ebro S700

Under a partnership with Chery, Spanish manufacturer Ebro produced and sold a licensed-built second-generation Tiggo 7 in Spain under the company's resurrected namesake brand as the Ebro S700. It was unveiled on May 2024 at the Madrid Car Experience,[8] and went on sale in December 2024.[41] Adopting the styling used by the export-spec facelifted 2024 Tiggo 7, initial variants for the S700 were the Comfort and Luxury, with both being powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine. A 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol plug-in hybrid (PHEV) will be available later in 2025.[42] It is assembled at Ebro's plant in Barcelona, with the first units rolling out in 25 September 2024.[43]

DR 6.0

DR Automobiles marketed the second-generation Tiggo 7 in Italy as the DR 6.0, which was launched on 20 April 2022. It is only available with one engine option; a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, available with either a conventional petrol or DR's Thermohybrid bi-fuel (petrol/LPG) setup.[44]

A 1.6-litre turbocharged engine option, marketed as the 6.0 T-GDI, was made available since 2024. The T-GDI models adopt the exterior styling used by the Chinese market internal-combustion 2021 Tiggo 7 Plus.[citation needed] A plug-in hybrid model, based on the Chinese market 2021 Tiggo 7 Plus PHEV, was also made available at the same time.[citation needed]

Apart from different badgings, all DR 6.0 models feature a different front grille pattern design.

Sportequipe 6

Sportequipe, a subsidiary of DR Automobiles, sold a version of the second-generation Tiggo 7 as the Sportequipe 6 since 2023, which was first revealed at the 2022 Milano Monza Open-Air Motor Show in June 2022.[45] The model sported the front fascia design from the non-Pro/Plus versions of the Tiggo 8, while sharing the same powertrain, as well supply options, as the regular DR 6.0.[46]

A plug-in hybrid model, based on the Chinese market 2021 Tiggo 7 Plus PHEV, was made available since 2024, positioned as a sportier alternative to the DR 6.0 PHEV. The PHEV version sported the same front fascia design as the Tiggo 8 Pro/Plus.[citation needed]

Xcite X-Cross 7

Xcite, a subsidiary of AvtoVAZ, produced and sold the second-generation Tiggo 7 in Russia under the name Xcite X-Cross 7, as the brand's first model. It was first revealed on 13 March 2024,[47] with sales commenced on May 2024.[48] The X-Cross 7 is essentially a rebranded version of the pre-facelift Tiggo 7 Pro, sharing the latter's exterior styling and specifications including the carry-over 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, while sporting the same front grille pattern design used by Italy's regular DR 6.0. The X-Cross 7 is initially available with two variants: Enjoy and Techno.[49] It is produced at AvtoVAZ's facility in Saint Petersburg, which was previously owned by Nissan.

Tiggo 7 High Energy (2024)

In November 2024, Chery introduced a new version of the Tiggo 7 in China called the Tiggo 7 High Energy. It is unrelated to other Tiggo 7 models, and instead is based on the Chery Tansuo 06 / Jaecoo J7 with a modified front end design which mimics Range Rover models.[50]
