1. June 2024

The CEO organized a company wide meeting educational meeting of what is SaaS, what is ecommerce, and how the trend of ecommerce is going towards SaaS and how NEXT BASKET is going to be successfull because of this. By around the end of month, the CEO again organize a new meeting to every country group with the meeting agenda as "CEO's Pitch to COUNTRY_NAME Team". Lo and behold, the pitch is about NEXT BASKET will pay us only half of our monthly compensation for the month of June. Promised a date[enter random date] to pay us the remaining half in the promised date in month of July.

Soon later, emial was received confirming things in writing and assuring everyone that succeeding salaries for the next coming months will proceed as usual.

1. July 2024

Everyone received their pay for half of June. All good and happy. Everyone continues to work.

Promised date came and of course there's a delay[insert shock emoji] in receiving the funding because of [insert random bullshit].

Everyone was reassured, new promise date[enter random date] was given. This time around, it's not a fixed date but a date range that goes like, Funding is set to received at [random date in August] but could take [random days] because of [random bullshit] to fully process.

Management organized new meeting assuring everyone that NB have secured 7 million euros of funding and not to worry that the company is not forseeing financial dificulties in the future.

1. August 2024

By this time around, everyone slowly losing motivation to work, starts questioning the financial stability of the company. Old stories from the previous year started to came out. It turns out. They pulled off the same shit the year before.

The promised date came again, and of course there's a delay again and is still waiting for funding to be received because of [insert random bullshit].

Told everyone that NB will start paying salary in [enter random date in September] but no later than [enter random date in September].

1. September 2024

Morale is now low, people are now feeling forced to work. Most now are taking personal loans to pay off their bills. Some files for leave stating they needed to find alternative source of income.

Promised date came again, and as expected, their's no salary. But this time around, the CEO told everyone that the founder of NB, of whom he calls OUR OWNER, will give us an update, yey.

Update from THE OWNER Bobby came, of course their is no salary but shared "GOOD NEWS". Everyone will receive a bonus for the delayed salary. And, everyone who stays working diligently will receive nice fat bonus. Laid out a nice bonus scheme for everyone to wow.

THE OWNER Bobby "personally" gurantees now that by the end of the month, everyone will be paid in full and that the bonuses will be paid in next payment cycle in October.

End of the month came, of course there's no salary, there's again a delay. Told everyone will give another update on October 3.

1. October 3, 2024

Basically told everyone to fuck off by saying, we are putting you in an indefinite leave, effective immediately. Kept a handful of employees, with nice you are special words like, Good news you are instrumental for the survival of the company and NB will pay you only the last month and next coming months with a salary cut, still can't pay you the last 3 months.
