Yang Le (born 1984; Chinese: 杨乐;pinyin: Yáng Lè) is a Chinese television producer who is the co-founder and CEO of Huanyu Entertainment.[1] She was born in Jiangxi province.

Career

After graduating with a DBA from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, Yang entered the film and TV industry in 2005 and co-founded Huanyu Entertainment in 2012.[1] Huanyu Entertainment is a Chinese company that offers a suite of services, including scriptwriting, production, distribution, as well as managing signed artistes.[1]

Yang has produced several projects, including Story of Yanxi Palace,[2] Winter Begonia, Royal Feast, and Delicacies Destiny. Story of Yanxi Palace has been translated into multiple languages and broadcast in several countries in Southeast Asia.[3][4] Another drama produced by Yang, The Legend of Haolan, was distributed by Disney+ outside of China.[5]

In September 2023, Yang led the company into a strategic partnership with Singapore’s Mediacorp. The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), aims to foster global opportunities for talents from both companies. Under this agreement, Mediacorp artists like Ayden Sng, Hong Ling, and Chantalle Ng will be represented by Huanyu in China. Similarly, Huanyu's prominent artists Wu Jinyan and Xu Kai, known for their roles in the hit Chinese drama Story of Yanxi Palace, will explore opportunities in Singapore and Malaysia under Mediacorp's representation. Yang stated that this collaboration marks a significant step in Huanyu Entertainment's global expansion strategy, highlighting the company's ambition to create more opportunities for cross-border artistic collaborations. [6][7]

On 13 March 2024, Yang was one of the speakers at the 28th Hong Kong International Film & Television Exhibition (FILMART).[8]
