Professor S. Joe QIN (Chinese: 秦泗釗教授) is currently Wai Kee Kau Chair Professor of Data Science and President of Lingnan University in Hong Kong.[1][2]
Prof. S. Joe Qin's Educational Background
Prof. S. Joe Qin obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Automatic Control from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, in 1984 and 1987 respectively. He then continued his studies, pursuing a Ph.D. in Automation at Tsinghua University until 1989.[3]
In 1989, Prof. Qin moved to the United States to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. He completed his Ph.D. in June 1992.[4]
