Dates

Please stop changing dates from dmy (day/month/year) format to mdy {month/day/year) format. The majority of the world uses dmy (as seen here) and the four articles where I reverted your changes all specifically say "use dmy dates" at the top of the edit page. Gerald F. Seib moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Gerald F. Seib. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has too many problems of language or grammar and the bulk of this article is a copyright violation or close paraphrasing of the sources. Considerable issues with grammar make several of the passages inscrutable. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. gobonobo + c 14:56, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Empty edit request on Talk:Hossein Derakhshan

Information icon Hello. An edit request you recently made to Talk:Hossein Derakhshan was empty and has been removed. Please see planning an edit request for more information on how to prepare a proper request. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Jamedeus (talk) 20:04, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Jamedeus: Hello. I try to add this template in below:
{{Template:List of foreign nationals detained in Iran}} Claggy (talk) Claggy (talk) 20:52, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like the template is already there, but I just looked at the diff of your request and noticed you added Category:Foreign nationals detained in Iran. I just added this category, sorry for the misunderstanding.
Just an FYI, wrapping a category in brackets renders it at the bottom of the page, making your request look empty. It would be helpful if you include some text like "Please add Category:Foreign nationals detained in Iran" in the future. Jamedeus (talk) 21:04, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Jamedeus: Thank you. I will do. Claggy (talk) 21:06, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Jamedeus: I try to add this template in below:
{{Template:1988 executions of Iranian political prisoners}} Claggy (talk) 20:50, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see you made another request for this recently which was denied because no reason was given for the change. I don't see any confirmation in Ali Khamenei or 1988 executions of Iranian political prisoners that Khamenei was directly involved in this, only that he defended it 30 years later. Do you have WP:RS that confirm his involvement? Jamedeus (talk) 21:12, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Jamedeus: Yes I have. This topic is popular. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and many more. Claggy (talk) 21:22, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Claggy, I've accepted your draft templates but removed the link piping as seen here as the destination was not clear, as per our policy on WP:Piped links. I would recommend that you do this for all of the templates you've previously created, I see you've been a prolific template contributor to the project. Welcome, and thanks for your contributions.
