Question on the Bubble

[edit]

It is strange that this article talks about the Chinese stock market bubble with reference to February 2007. The BBC News link talks about the Shanghai Index hitting new highs on Monday 26th (over 3,000) and then tumbling 9% in one day (to 2,771 on Tues 27th). However, the index hit 5,900 in October 2007. It then fell to 1,747 over the next 13 months.

Seems the bubble was not burst on 27th Feb, but much later.

Is there any financial markets historian who can update this post?
