Akinima is a town in the region of Ahoda West Local Government Area, Rivers State, Nigeria.[1] Akinima is the headquarter of Ahoda west Local Government Area, Rivers State, Nigeria. Akinima is in the north western part of Rivers State, under Rivers West Senatorial district in port harcourt city.[1] Akinima has a latitude 5° 4' 35" N and on longitude 6° 27' 48" E.[citation needed] Akinima is one of the areas that is been affected by flood in Rivers State yearly.[2]
