Dean Davis is an American politician serving as a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives from the 98th district. He assumed office in 2019.[1] In 2020, he was re-elected by default.[2]
Oklahoma House of Representatives
Davis authored House Bill 2011 that would allow for vehicles to be registered every two years. It passed the house in March 2023.[3]
In 2019, Davis was arrested "20 days after his probation expired for a DUI arrest in Broken Arrow." The incident happened "outside of an Oklahoma City bar on an allegation of public drunkenness." He claimed that the officer could not detain him due to "the ongoing legislative session."[4][5] In 2024, Democratic lawmakers called "for Republican lawmakers to be held accountable" after Davis, Ryan Martinez, and Terry O'Donnell all had trouble with the law[6] This came after the March 2023 censure of Representative Maureen Turner for sheltering someone wanted by the police in their office.[7][8] When arrested, Davis called Representative T.J. Marti of Broken Arrow to bail him out of jail and told him if he spoke with DAs, they will drop the charges.[9]
