Apparently, Satish Chandra you mentioned also claimed that the origins of the Gujarati Sultans were Khatri. Here is the main source: [1]

Here are other sources you may have removed from the article Gujarat Sultanate [2][3][4]

Welcome

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

This message is given to all editors who work on caste pages. Regards, LukeEmily (talk) 15:34, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

On ebay there is a painting listed as john henry hopkins wearing vestments and said to be from vermont

On ebay there is a large painting of hopkins in vestments and it says from vermont. The asking price is $20,000. I think it is over priced and would ask for less. 2600:1000:B16B:D131:0:5A:39B4:7F01 (talk) 03:16, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but I want to ask why is there YouTube as a source for the information I edited? GujaratiHistoryinDNA (talk) 13:18, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't get your question, but I'll try to explain the YouTube source in it, if that what you're asking. The YouTube source is there to support his caste (Rajput) since caste requires self-identification per Wikipedia consensus and WP:BLP. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:58, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
But based on what other users have told me, YouTube videos are NOT a reliable source for videos. So I was in doubt. GujaratiHistoryinDNA (talk) 18:09, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It depends on the content. This is an interview. A YouTube video by a non-reliable person/agency on Khali's background is not permissible. But here Khali himself is saying that he is a Rajput. So... There are news sources that mention him being a Rajput, though those would be reliable, our policy on self-identification would not permit usage of them. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:47, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Evin Lewis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ali Khan. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
