How about some pictures?

It'd be nice to get some photos of Gonzales into this article. I'm currently overseas but when I return I can definitely take some photos and get them on here, the question is - what are some places that represent Gonzales well? I'm thinking things like Jambalaya Park, City Hall, etc. If anyone could add some ideas, that'd help. 82.19.24.10 (talk) 18:44, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Center of Gonzales"

The center of Gonzales, known as Chips Grocery, came into being in the late 1970s. The previous center was known as the "Fish N Pic".

I don't know whose idea this was, but it's not only completely false, it's manifestly ludicrous. The center of Gonzales has always been farther north, about where Burnside (LA-44) crosses the New River (which was the predecessor settlement to Gonzales), approx. where St. Theresa's is now. The church was built mostly on the land given it by the Lanoux family (my wife's family, in Ascension since the 1780s), because it was centrally located. Chip's is just a convenience store with overpriced gas pumps, so I have to assume someone is having their little joke. --Michael K SmithTalk 15:59, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
