LIFE AND CAREER


K.M is the eldest of four girls, and her three younger sisters are easily her best friends. She is very close with her mom, and unfortunately her father passed away at the age of 51. She is married to Todd Walton and has two beautiful boys. When K.M was a little girl she had many dreams, she spent a lot of her time dreaming, one of her dreams was to become a teacher and one day that dream came true and she was a teacher for twelve years, in Osteen, Florida and in Springfield, Pennsylvania. Yet, one day she discovered that she is extremely passionate about writing, it's her favorite thing to do, even when it gets hard. She's been writing ever since, Now she lives in PA with her husband, her boys, a cat and a turtle.

K.M is a graduate of West Chester University, with a degree in elementary education. As a former teacher she is eager to help students and stopping bullying. Her novels- Cracked (Simon Pulse 2012), Empty (Simon Pulse 2013) - shine a bright light on the bullying that can occur in school. She also gives presentation to places around the states to show "The Power of Human Kindness" -she is represented by Jim McCarthy from Dystel and Goderich Literary Management She is also the co-author of Teaching Numeracy: 9 Critical Habits to Ignite Mathematical Thinking (Corwin Press 2011) a book for mathematics teachers K-8.
