I don't mean to dissuade you from working on highway articles -- far from it. In particular, Wikipedia:Be bold in updating pages applies here. Just be aware that there's an ongoing debate (and a rather stupid one, unfortunately). Feel free to ask me any questions on my talk page. --Elkman - (Elkspeak) 12:26, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, Thehighwayman394, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place helpme on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Be aware that there's a major debate regarding the names of highways. In particular, one very vocal party has been insisting that the word "Minnesota" has no place in the article title or in the name of the highway. The rest of us have been content to leave "Minnesota" (or the appropriate state name) in the article title and the description. (The rationale: MNDOT knows they're talking about Minnesota highways, but Wikipedia users are from all 50 states and many nations.) The latest debate about this is at Wikipedia talk:State route naming conventions poll.

I don't mean to dissuade you from working on highway articles -- far from it. In particular, Wikipedia:Be bold in updating pages applies here. Just be aware that there's an ongoing debate (and a rather stupid one, unfortunately). Feel free to ask me any questions on my talk page. --Elkman - (Elkspeak) 12:26, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
