Speedy deletion nomination of Dinamo Sports Hall
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Dinamo Sports Hall requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. WWGB (talk) 12:52, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

Syrian civil war
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Sopher99 (talk) 13:26, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

Might want to slow down there...
Some of the changes you're making don't correspond correctly to the Armenian alphabet, while other edits consist of removing diacritical marks on words transliterated into in English which help readers comprehend the text easier.--Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 06:46, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
- Errm, I think you should brush up on your knowledge of Armenian. I don't want to get into any dispute between the "correctness" of the Eastern-Western dialect, but not only is this more faithful to the original spelling, but it's more common in usage, which is how Wikipedia dictates us when it comes to transcribing foreign names and words.--Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 06:58, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
- The user who reported you neglected to do this, but I want to inform you that this issue has come up at WP:ANI. Your username is the thread topic. --Jprg1966 (talk) 18:12, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
- You're arguing on the basis of pronunciation, while I am basing myself on spelling, which is more closer to Wikipedia's policies. In any case you should have discussed these changes before undertaking such extensive edits.--Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 18:26, 1 December 2013 (UTC)

Need consensus for changing the transliterations of Armenian names
Hello Zyzzzzy. Here you changed 'Vardan' to 'Vartan' throughout an article. Evidently, some people disagree since other editors have reverted this change. If you intend to do more of this, you should find consensus at a suitable place. Consider Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Armenia. A complaint about your changes has been raised at WP:ANI#user Zyzzzzzy, where so far you have made no reply. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 19:20, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Ghouta chemical attack, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. VQuakr (talk) 04:01, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Syrian localities templates
Hey Zy, I've been undoing your recent changes to the Syrian governorate templates, like at Template:Homs Governorate. You need to discuss these moves at the talk page or at WikiProject Syria and find some agreement first. Personally, I don't think the templates being "bulky" is a valid reason to shave off 90% of the content. We previously made an adjustment to deal with size by creating subsections within the templates and emboldened the script for nahiya centers to distinguish them from other towns. Still, more could be done if you want to discuss this. --Al Ameer (talk) 05:00, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
- When we made these templates, we (Yazan and myself) agreed to include only localities with populations above 2,000 (from 2004 census) or places that were unique in a historic/cultural way. Those were the "boundaries", but obviously this is not set in stone and we could always discuss alternatives. There are benefits to including these villages because it helps interested readers navigate the governorates and helps to give coverage or links to all of the articles on Syria's villages. Also, I think it would be to our detriment if we omit villages like Nawa, Maarrat al-Ikhwan, al-Sukhnah, Baarin, al-Fu'ah, or Bloudan (to name a few) just because these places aren't administrative centers. Many of them have larger populations or are more historically/culturally significant than the administrative centers. --Al Ameer (talk) 20:59, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
- I completely agree with Ameer on this. But I wanted to point out that these localities are not "arbitrary", they are in fact official administrative units in Syria. There is terrible ignorance about the local geography of the country, and having them there gives them an opportunity to be discovered. I would strongly object to downscaling the templates to the towns that your, or I, feel are important. Yazan (talk) 09:49, 24 December 2013 (UTC)

Syrian People
Hello Zyzzzzzy! Thank you for your contributions to the Syrian people article. With regards to my input on the said article, I have already said everything that could possibly be said on the talk page. I agree with you wholeheartedly that the article should include ancient and medieval Syrians. Although there was an extensive debate about this topic, the short discussion that produced a short-sighted view was illegitimate at best, because it was done on the Iraqi people page and without consulting editors, such as myself who would have entertained a contrarian view. The editor who reverted your edits and who now goes by the name of Kathavo is the same person who advanced the earlier view and went by the name Rafy. Thereby Rafy and Katahavo are one and the same. Please read the talk page in its entirety and you will see that the article is in fact being closely monitored by Rafy/Kathavo who belongs to a band of editors who are bitter and angry at the fact that the currently geopolitical reality of the day holds that there is no nation state called Assyria today.
The aforementioned editors troll any article that does not agree with their Assyrian nationalist views, neutrality and rationalism are not their strong-points. Let me give an example, after I posted pics of ancient Syrians on the Syrian people page Rafy/Kathavo took a good look at the page and proceeded to the Syriac people page where he uploaded pics of ancient Syriacs; and then he came back to the Syrian people to remove the pics of ancient Syrians. The said editor's view is that Syriacs comprise an ethnicity and that Syrians don't. A number of editors such as myself, have proved to the said editor the folly of his argument, but to no avail.
Recommendations, #1) Verify with the Wikipedia community if the discussion from the Iraqi page could be used to push Rafy/Kathavo's POV on the Syrian people article (Remember the short deciding view on the Syria people article took place on the Iraqi people page with the absence of notable editors who share a view different from Rafy/Kathavo's view. #2) Find reliable sources that specifically employ the "Syrian" designation when referring to ancient Syrians. (This article clearly refers to Abul Ala al-Maari as "Syrian". http://observers.france24.com/content/20130214-jihadists-behead-statue-syrian-poet-abul-ala-al-maari? page=30&v=1362363401000?) #3) Delineate Rafy/Kathavo's POV by reporting him to the Wikipedia community; he doesn't dare remove the image of Maron on the Lebanese people page but he trolls the Syrian people article. The aforementioned fact is proof of his POV, it's an example of Rafy/Kathavo's blunder that you could use. George Al-Shami (talk) 04:30, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- Have you two feel no shame? Your divisionism is bad for the cause of Independence. You should know that the Assyrians, Syriacs, and Chaldeans are all one people: The Mesopotamians. Why do you want to divide us when we all have a commonness among us? Are you going to say you're an Arab and speak Arabic instead of your language Syriac now? When will you both realize that foreign politicians are using this division between us Mesopotamians so that we cannot unite and achieve independence. Replaceable fair use File:Surp Mesrop Mashtots Church of Erebuni district.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Surp Mesrop Mashtots Church of Erebuni district.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 10:07, 30 May 2015 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Holy Martyrs Church, Komitas Pantheon.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Holy Martyrs Church, Komitas Pantheon.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 20:36, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Gandzasar Kapan FC a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. I noticed that the history of the above seems to be misleading. This permalink shows how the first page appeared on 12 July 2015. There is not much content there, but it lists several items that now appear in the second page. However, the history of the second page shows Spetsnaz1991 as the only substantive contributor.
While apparently minor, such issues are regarded seriously—WP:CWW indicates that a copyright violation has occurred. Please see if you can fix that, perhaps by asking at WP:HELPDESK. If necessary, I can ask for administrator assistance at WP:AN, or you could add {{Admin help}} here. The suggestion of WP:CWW that a link is sufficient attribution is for the case where text is copied from one article to another; a link would not be satisfactory in this case because the article was started by Dr. Blofeld and the history of the article should show that. Johnuniq (talk) 06:29, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- I raised the issue at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#History merge needed for areas of Armenia. Johnuniq (talk) 01:14, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
