Spotlight 29 Casino is an Indian casino in Coachella, California, owned and operated by the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians of California. The casino is 250,000 square feet, with 1,600 slot machines and 22 table games.[2] Amenities include two restaurants, food court, three bars and the Spotlight Showroom, which seats 2,200.[3]
History
Spotlight 29 Casino opened its doors in 1995 to the public under the right of the National Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988, allowing Native American Tribes to operate Casinos. In 2001, the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians teamed with Donald Trump and Spotlight 29 Casino became Trump 29 Casino. In 2006, the relationship with Donald Trump ended, and the casino returned to its original name, after which many renovations were completed including a new 1,200 vehicle parking structure and an expansion of nearly 150,000 square feet, updating Spotlight 29 Casino to include nearly 250,000 square feet for gaming, offices, meetings and conferences, dining and entertainment.[4]

Spotlight Showroom
The Spotlight Showroom boasts 2,200 seats for live concerts, entertainment, sporting events, conferences, and special events. The Showroom also hosts the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indian’s annual Winter POW WOW[6] as well as Theresa A. Mike Scholarship Foundation’s annual Fashion Show. Guests must be 6+.[7]
Hot Spot
Located on the main casino floor, Hot Spot is open daily and offers an expansive bar, stage, and dance floor. Guests can also watch their favorite teams and the biggest sporting events on one of many flat screen televisions or two jumbo LED screens, and can enjoy live music every Friday and Saturday night from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Groove
Furnished with eight flat screen televisions, two bars, and a live DJ spinning top hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s, Groove is a state-of-the-art lounge producing a superb multi-media experience. Newly expanded to include additional seating space, Groove is open from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. every Friday for Flashback Fridays, and on Spotlight Showroom concert nights.
Blue Bar
Open Friday and Saturday nights starting at 8pm, Blue Bar features a live DJ playing the best of today’s top 40’s, old school and hip hop, and guests can enjoy a large dance floor, full service bar, or watch sporting events on flat screen televisions.[8]
The Medjool Room
The Medjool Room has 5,000 square feet of banquet space with seating for up to 300 guests. From business meetings to weddings, quinceanera's and more, the Medjool Room offers personalized full service banquets.[9]

JEM Steakhouse
JEM Steakhouse is a popular restaurant located inside the Casino specializing in steak and seafood dishes. The menu boasts delectable appetizers, entrees and dessert choices. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday, starting at 4 p.m.
Cafe Capitata
Café Capitata offers a full menu all day, every day, along with a delicious buffet that includes more than 50 items for lunch and dinner. Café Capitata features many specialty buffet nights such as BBQ Mondays, Mexican Wednesdays, Seafood & Prime Rib Buffet on Fridays, and more. Hours, pricing and times vary. Pizzeria 29 offers pizza by the slice and whole pizzas, and is Fridays and Saturdays from noon to midnight.
Chava's Mexican Grill
Chava’s Mexican Grill features Mexican cuisine, and is open Thursday through Monday.
Kitchen 88
Kitchen 88 is an Asian fusion restaurant that is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:30 am to 9 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 am to midnight, and Sundays from 11:30 am to 9 pm.[10]
