Lady Christina Green (commonly referred to as Tina Green) is a Monaco-based, South African-born businesswoman who owns 2,300 shops in the UK. She has been referred to as the wealthiest [2]and second wealthiest woman in the UK [3]. Her assets include [4]:
- 92% of Arcadia, parent of Top Shop, Burton and Dorothy Perkins. [5][6]
- BHS [7]
- Sears 'Shoe Express' chain. [8]

- In September 1999, Tina became a shareholder in the parent of Mark One
- A £23m-plus shareholding in Marks & Spencer during an attempt to purchase the company at the beginning of 2000 [9]
Mrs Green currently controls 12% of the UK clothing retail market, making her empire the second-largest in the sector. The leader, Marks and Spencer, has been the target of three unsuccessful takeover bids from Mrs Green's companies.
Tina received the biggest annual payout to an individual by a British company in 2005, with £1.2 billion dividend paid to her by Arcadia.[10]
