HMCS Somers Isles was a temporary training facility for the Royal Canadian Navy in Bermuda from 1944 to 1945.
The base was located at Convict Bay, St. George's Parish and formerly of the Royal Navy.
This base was abandoned and Canada's military presence would relocate to Somerset Island, Bermuda on the west end of the island.
Prior to this, the RCN worked with the RN in establishing an anti-submarine training program at Casemates Barracks starting in 1939.
The base also assisted with converting 50 ex-USN destroyers to RN and RCN service during World War II under the Lend-Lease program.
