My Backround

I am a proud and happy Macedonian, as long as I shall live on this vast and beautiful earth I will always be a Macedonian. I am not deeply interested in politics, however I as much as the next proud Macedonian is upset about the Maco's requiring to change their name for the Greeks AND I MEAN GREEK POLITICIANS PEOPLE CALM DOWN, I will attempt not to discriminate any Greek people in saying this and half my friends are Greek, I even wish to visit the Greek island of Santorini when I can afford my own plane fare, however it deeply upsets me that Greece is more recognised than the Macedonians. I will give you an example, during Orthodox Easter this girl {who will remain nameless} was asking people whether or not they were greek, so she could tell them "Happy Easter" when she asked me, I said I wasnt but I was Macedonian and I celebrated Orthodox easter too,then she said she didnt care and she was only asking for Greeks. This remark had made me feel upset and miserable beyond measure. I am deeply sorry if there are any Greeks who read this and felt offended for some reason, if this is the case I am deeply sorry, I simply ask you "Put yourself in my shoes, how would you feel if you were never recognised? if no-one cared about your nation because there was some-one better? Though I am proud of my culture, I still feel like no-one cares I do not ask for sympathy, I ask for your understanding. Thank you. MAKEDONIJA FOREVER, SLOBODAN ILI SMRT.
