Early Life and Education
Mishra hails from Bhagalpur, Bihar and has studied at Mount Assisi School, Bhagalpur from Nursery to Grade XII. He was known for his active participation in debates, quiz competitions, science exhibitions. He graduated with an engineering degree (B.E.) in Information Technology from Manipal Institute of Technology, Karnataka.
Career
Right after graduating from engineering college, Satyam was selected by Teach For India as a Fellow. He taught in Pune's first standalone secondary English medium school and students broke mathematics record across 320 Teach For India classrooms. His innovative approach was recognised by Teach For India by selecting him as one of the Finalists for the Transformational Impact Journey (TIJ) in 2017. He has served in 18 countries including India, Nepal, South Africa, Lebanon, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Austria, Bulgaria, Slovakia and so on in various capacities. Satyam was the first Indian to be invited to teach and train teachers at the Malala Yousafzai All Girls' School, a school that Malala Yousafzai had herself started for the Syrian refugee girls, a very first of its kind in the entire region. He was selected as a 'Network Connector' at Teach For All (2020–2023). For his work with children from marginalised communities, he was elected as a Shaper at the Global Shapers Community (GSC), an initiate of the World Economic Forum. He has been a 3-time TEDx Speaker.
