==Plot==
Polly Pocket and her four friends Lila, Crissy, Shani, and Lea have their class chosen to be part of a charity edition of their favorite reality game show, ''Roll Like That'', which is filmed at her family's new amusement park PollyWorld and puts teams of five through several challenges, to win money for the charity of their choice. Polly hears from her father, John Pocket, that he has a big surprise for her; at the same time, Polly's scheming and jealous rival Beth plots to win and steal credit of the park.
Polly Pocket and her friends Shani, Lea, Lila, and Crissy, as well as their entire class, get to be part of their favorite TV show, 'Roll Like That,' which is being held at Polly's dad's theme park, Pollyworld. In teams of five, they will compete in challenges to win money for the charity of their choice. Beth is upset because this would've been her big chance to showcase her mad skills and skyrocket her to the most popular girl in school, and her chances are threatened by Polly being there. Polly gets a call from her father, who tells her he has a big surprise for her.

As the challenges begin, however, Polly learns of the big surprise: her father is engaged to a woman named Lorelei, who seems to like Polly. Polly isn't sure she's happy about getting a stepmother, and her friends offer to help her by checking Lorelei out for themselves. Later that night, the first competition takes place, and Team Beth wins. Beth overhears Lorelei's phone conversation and learns of her true colors: she's jealous of Polly and thinks she's too much competition, so she's plotting to send her to boarding school. Afterward, Beth blackmails Lorelei to let her help send Polly off to boarding school. That night, John takes Polly and her friends shopping with Lorelei's help. They end the first night watching fireworks.

The next morning, Polly confides in Lila, asking her what she thinks about Lorelei. Lila suggests that Polly buy them an engagement present. Polly invites Lorelei to skate and grab burgers with them for lunch. Later that afternoon, during the Rain Forest River Race, Team Pocket develops a plan to fool Team Beth by pretending to be in a fight. Lorelei uses this plan to her advantage, fooling John into thinking Polly is stressed and needs to attend boarding school.

After Team Pocket wins, Polly and Samuel shop for an engagement present. To keep the gift a surprise, Polly tells her dad that she is hanging out with friends. John catches her in the lie but goes along and asks Lorelei for advice. While shopping, Samuel tells Polly to give Lorelei a chance. While Polly is away, Lorelei tricks Samuel into feeling guilty for stepping into a parental mother-figure role for Polly. Samuel informs Polly he will be taking a leave of absence.

An upset Polly goes to her father, who breaks the news that Polly will be attending boarding school starting Monday. Polly's friends cheer her up and decide to make this the best weekend ever. Crissy's fear of rollercoasters during the third challenge prevents her from riding the tallest rollercoaster, the Polly Whirl. Supporting Crissy, Team Pocket decides to go elsewhere, but Crissy can't stand losing to Team Beth. During Team Beth and Team Pocket's rollercoaster face-off, Beth spills that she knew about boarding school, and Tori reveals that Beth heard it from Lorelei, making Polly suspicious. As Lila, Lea, Shani, and Crissy talk about the live finale, Polly realizes that boarding school isn't her father's idea, and Lorelei made him think it was.
Upon arrival at PollyWorld, Polly discovers John's surprise is he is engaged to a woman named Lorelei, without notifying her beforehand. Polly tells her friends of her insecurities with the sudden engagement, just before discovering a clue written on their popsicle sticks leading toward their first ''Roll Like That'' challenge, the Hula Duel-a at the Pollynesian Paradise. That evening, Beth's team ends up winning, and Lorelei reveals she secretly despises Polly and is only marrying John to gain an interest in the family fortune, and plots to get rid of Polly by sending her to a boarding school. Beth overhears her and decides to team up with her and gives advice on convincing John the boarding school plans were his idea.

Later that night, Shani finds a recorded conversation on her camera of Beth asking Lorelei if Polly is going to boarding school. They decide to show this to John to prove Lorelei's plan. In the end, Polly decides not to show her dad/John the DVD because she cares more about his happiness.
The following day, Polly's team is awoken to a surprise rainfall in their room and a room service of trees, revealing their next challenge is at the Rainforest Realm. At a rollerskating rink for lunch, Polly discusses a strategy to helping them win while Lorelei reports to Beth on her scheming. During the rainforest challenge, Polly and her friends start a fake argument, distracting Beth long enough for them to win the challenge. Polly is still worried of the engagement, and is soon shocked to hear her butler Samuel has suddenly taken a leave of absence, and John has announced the boarding school plans and she is due to start that Monday. Her friends are upset at first, but soon decide to make the best of it when Shani gets the next clue and decides to videotape the whole day.

Beth traps Team Pocket the next day underneath the stage before the final competition. The show begins with no sign of Team Pocket. At the last minute, Team Pocket appears and performs "Rock This Town." Frustrated about potentially losing, Beth drags Lorelei into another room to discuss their plan. Beth accidentally sits on a button that turns on the microphone and broadcasts their entire conversation to the audience. John finds out about Lorelei's plan, and he goes to confront her for lying to him and cancels the engagement. As Lorelei runs after John, Beth takes advantage of being on the big screen to show off her mad cheerleading skills, only to trip and get tangled in wires, causing the audience to laugh at her, and her team is disqualified. Team Thrash wins the Roll Like That competition. Afterward, Polly comforts her dad, who apologizes for what he did and tells her she doesn't have to go to boarding school anymore.
All the teams meet up and start the third challenge, the Extravenger, but Polly is suspicious when Beth knows about the boarding school plans. Rick and Todd's team ends up winning, and Shani reveals she accidentally caught footage of Lorelei and Beth discussing how to get rid of Polly, inspiring her to show her true colors to John. However, she couldn't bring herself to show him the DVD because of how happy Lorelei makes him, and they vow to make their last weekend memorable before the final challenge at the Rockin' Arena. Once they get there, Beth activates a trapdoor which traps Polly's team under the stage with no one to hear them, so their team will be unable to show up and forfeit.

Together Team Pocket celebrates their best weekend ever watching fireworks.
That evening at the final talent challenge, Polly's team has almost forfeited when Crissy finds a lever which transports the girls to the stage, and their band, Polly and the Pockets, perform their new song to the crowd. Beth takes Lorelei to the sound room to chastise her for ruining everything, accidentally sitting on the controls and bringing up their feed, finally exposing Lorelei's plans to John, who hears everything and ends his engagement, and Beth is laughed at when attempting to show her cheerleading. Rick and Todd's team is announced as the winner of ''Roll Like That'', John apologizes to Polly, cancels the boarding school plans, and rehires Samuel. The film ends with Polly watching the fireworks with her one true family.

Reception

The film deserves major kudos for incorporating a topic such as remarriage into the plot, but based on the questionable actions of Polly's stepmother, who isn't as nice as she pretends to be, parents in a new or impending marriage may want to view those parts first in order to evaluate whether this film might trigger some painful emotions in their own kids.
