Danna Hakim Azrieli (Template:Lang-he; born 3 June 1967; Montreal, Canada) is a Israeli real estate tycoon, developer, and philanthropist. Azrieli is Chairwoman of Azrieli Group,[3][4] Israeli real estate and holding company, taking over from her father, David Azrieli, on his passing in 2014. Danna is a board member at Tel Aviv University and the chair of philanthropic organisation, Azrieli Foundation, Israel. Danna Azrieli has a estimated net worth of $1.9 billion and rank by Forbes as the 2524th richest person in the world,[2] and the 61st wealthiest Israeli.[5]
Early life and education
Azrieli was born in Montreal, Canada. she is the daughter of the David Azrieli, Canadian real estate tycoon. She holds B.A in Sociology and Anthropology from Swarthmore College, Juris Doctor (JD) at Vermont Law School, graduating in year XXX. Upon relocating to Israel, Azrieli completed her legal training at Gornitzky & Co..
Career
Before becoming chairperson of Azrieli Group, Azrieli had worked in the family business for 15 years, initially managing the business in the United States before immigrating to Israel in 2004. Azrieli has been board member of Azrieli Group since the company went public in 2010, Appointed deputy chairmen in 2012, Azrieli went on to act as chairwomon in 2014 due to her father’s ill health and was later officially appointed to the role upon his death.[6]

Philanthropy
Azrieli is the Chairwoman of the Israeli Azrieli Foundation, that support of a number of education programs, universities, research institutes and medical centres.[3][19] In 2021, the foundation made two donations to medical research - one of NIS 40 million to Autism Research at the National Autism Research Centre of Israel (NARCI),[20] and another of $50 million USD to the Weizmann Institute of Science to establish the Azrieli Institute for Brain and Neural Sciences. [21] Azrieli is also board member of the Azrieli Foundation,Canada.
