In 2001 census, the town has recorded 103 inhabitants. The town has experienced a continuous reduction of population during the end of the 19th century and the 20th century. In 1910 the town recorded 991 inhabitants, in 1970 331 inhabitants. During the last decade of the 20th century and the first decade of 21st century the town has received an incoming flow of immigrants from [[Romania]].
