::What I don't understand is if it is short for "Märchen Awakens Romance" then shouldn't it just be MAR rather than MÄR? Why are there dots over the A? There aren't dots over the A in Awakens and that's what it's short for right? I think perhaps 'Marchen Awakens Romance' may just be a subtitle, and that the caps MÄR stylization is actually short for the "Mär" in Märchen primarily. The world they are on is called Mär-Heaven or MÄR-Heaven for example, which I'm pretty sure isn't short for 'Marchen Awakens Romance Heaven'. :Agreed...there should be one character list, with all of the individual character articles merged into it because none have any demonstrable real-world notability, failing all relevant guidelines for existence including WP:N, WP:PLOT, WP:WAF, and WP:FICT. NO WAY! I don't know what everyone else thinks but I do know there are people out there who see them as more then cartoons on the TV. better to have seperate pages for characters, easier to navigate, fav pages AND it doesn't hurt your eyes with to many words! Why should you put them all together when anime such as Naruto or Bleach have different pages? That's like saying MAR has less importance because of a popularity vote! I say favoratists to that! Is that really fair? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.217.75.200 (talk) 00:23, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Why is it that the reception consists of just a single negative review from IGN? Shouldn't it have other reviews, like more positive ones? Often, I see that things usually get mostly positive reviews, but there are a few contrasting negative reviews (or vice versa). I believe that section should be improved on. MAR is very difficult to find, so i'll change the name to MAR to "mar (manga)"DeathBerry talk 17:12, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

:That was so beyond inappropriate and unnecesary. How the hell is it "Easier" to find if you stick a disambig on it? Diambigs are not stuck on just to stick them on, but only when necessary. The move has been undone. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 18:20, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

what? why did you do that? its difficult because its hard to put place those two dots on top of the A. in MAR.

fine, how about you make it so when someone types in "Mar (manga)" it would redirect here?DeathBerry talk 15:30, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

:Because it is unnecessary and few people are going to come search for Mar (manga). However, it does now redirect here because of your bad move attempt. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 16:05, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

ok, i dont mind that you remove (manga), but, you arent really the judge of all society of people. i cant place those two dots with my keyboard (or at least i dont know how) so i would type, mar (manga), typing in merely mar is too big of a disambiguation for the rest of the articles so , mar (manga) would be the best decision to be redirected.DeathBerry talk 16:42, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

:You type in MAR and the second listing is for the manga. Can't get much easier. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 16:46, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

what are you talking about? we both know it can get easier with the option i just mentioned, but you for some reason decline. and you reason that its meaningless, even though we both dont really know if it will or not.DeathBerry talk 17:07, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

:MAR is three characters, easy to remember and how most people would write the word without the dots; Mar (manga) requires precise casing, wording, and 11 characters, and not how most people will look for a word. Disambig and redirects are not created without good reason. If someone typed in Mar manga, they'd also easily find the article. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 18:13, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

umm...no, you misunderstand the point. you think its easy enough, but why not make it easier? its not like we are changing the title, only that if we type in mar manga or mar (manga), it would redirect here, i hate typing something up and looking for it on the list. its just annoying.

the point is. MAR disambiguated shows that list, whynot make it so when people type in "mar" we wont have to go through the list.DeathBerry talk 15:33, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

I write them without the dots too, but some people would also write manga next to it to see if its an easier way to redirect here. so thats why my proposal is to make it so that when someone types in MAR manga, or MAr, it would redirect here, without the disambiguation list. its annoying knowing wikipedia needs to s how you a list because they dont know what you mean.DeathBerry talk 17:14, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

:It is not going to happen, period. We don't make unnecessary disambiguation links and redirects just because one editor has issues. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 18:20, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Title

[edit]

According to the consensus here, this article should be moved to Mär (uncapitalized). I'll go ahead and do that after a couple of days if no one objects to this reasoning... - Onmyounomichi (talk) 00:07, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Eh, I oppose. The title is an acronym, and according to the rules of English, acronyms are in caps. - The Norse (talk) 00:12, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What I don't understand is if it is short for "Märchen Awakens Romance" then shouldn't it just be MAR rather than MÄR? Why are there dots over the A? List of Characters

[edit]

why keep two articles having only the main characters in this this article and the minor ones in a completely different article? shouldn't this page have a list of characters in general even after having a list of the MAIN characters in this one?

the main article doesn't even show who the main characters are, they only give out a vague explanation on what type of group they are. you will have to go on another article just to see the other characters.

other articles about anime and manga usually have a general list of characters (minor and major) in a separate article but easy to all the others. Who ever made this article and the list of character articles, they really didn't know how to put it.

merge all articles of characters in general together and list only the most important characters in the main articleHaseo445 (talk) 15:55, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed...there should be one character list, with all of the individual character articles merged into it because none have any demonstrable real-world notability, failing all relevant guidelines for existence including WP:N, WP:PLOT, WP:WAF, and WP:FICT.
