Hi BASEPAGENAME |
Hi BASEPAGENAME, |
||
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created. |
|||
Wikimedia Community User Group Pakistan is organizing an edit drive for Pakistani Wikipedians on Pakistani Cultural Heritage throughout the month of July.<br> |
|||
Top three contributors will be given a gift pack containing Wikipedia merchandise. |
|||
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work. |

Hi. I'm not sure if it best to contact you through this account or your alt, but I figured that your primary account was best. As it was fairly recent, you may not be aware that Wikipedia's Terms of Use were changed on June 15. As a result, it is now necessary under the new rules that anyone being paid to edit on behalf of a client must disclose that relationship. You have a few options as to how - you can make a declaration in the edit summaries, add a statement to the talk page of the article, or you can add a statement to your user page. The disclosure needs to include your employer, your client, and the manner in which you are affiliated, although the "employer" is clearly not relevant when you are doing freelance work. This won't prevent you from doing paid editing work, but is intended to meet the requirements for transparency within the project. For more information, the Terms of Use will help, as will the accompaning FAQ. |

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! As far as I'm aware, you haven't made a declaration along those lines in regard to Nofel Izz, so if you plan to continue to edit on his behalf you will need to clarify your relationship with the subject. - Bilby (talk) 15:06, 1 August 2014 (UTC) |

:Hi Bilby,<br/>Thank you for dropping me a line in respect of the recent edits that I have done. I personally haven't been paid for this work. However, I was asked by a friend of mine to make these edits in respect of space elevator. I haven't really worked on the said article (Nofel Izz) but as soon as I came to know that the friend of mine is being paid to do so, I stopped editing it. Previously, I did make minor edits on the basis that the article was in poor shape but I realized that something was fishy when so many editors were continuously making promotional edits and by reading the discussions that were taking place on the talk page. I had created an article on telescopic Exo Shell, on request, which I didn't realize was coming under WP:MASK when I was notified by User:Skyways and User:Ronz. I agreed with them and did put that article up for deletion.<br/>In reference to the disclosure, I have been editing Wikipedia off and on, in good faith and not for paid editing, for quite some time. If you like, and if you have time, you can review all the editing I have done so far to see if I was actually being paid.<br/> I am sorry to see that you have included my name, in the list of paid editors because of some recent minor edits, on Ronz's talk page just based on the assumption that I am being paid to do so.<br/>--<span style="text-shadow:blue 4px 4px 3px;"><font color="#B40404">Inland</font><font color="#088A08">mamba</font></span> (fruitful thought) 15:50, 1 August 2014 (UTC) |

New deal for page patrollers
[edit]Hi Inlandmamba,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Copyright problem: G Suite Marketplace
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as G Suite Marketplace, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images from either web sites or printed works.
