It more correct to call the Natives of Michoacan, Purepechas, which is the Spanish/Purepecha word that means "the people". Phonetic codes for writing the language of the people of Michoacan is not used. The language is often written in a distorted version of the word. Tzinzuntzan is Zenzunzan, for example. undo
