This is incorrect, as the imino acid is an intermediate form. First the D-amino acid is converted into the corresponding imino acid + H2O2 with use of the cofactor FAD, after which the enzyme goes on to convert the imino acid into the corresponding α-keto acid and NH3. Therefore, I changed the words "imino acids" to "α-keto acid" and also edited the link. undo Tag: Visual edit
