A tag has been placed on Smartwool, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Shadowlynk 05:16, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Smartwool is not currently a candidate for speedy deletion. There is no need to place the {{hangon}} tag for this article, as the issues for deletion have been resolved. --Sigma 7 08:45, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Viewer penny.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Viewer penny.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 08:52, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Grammar.
[edit]When you are putting a phrase in quotes, the comma comes after the quotation mark. If it's a complete sentence, then the comma/period comes first. TheStickMan[✆Talk] 17:01, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
No. American writing convention is that periods and commas always go inside quotation marks. Rob.bastholm (talk) 02:24, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- Well, it can be either, I guess. But you need to follow the Manual of Style on Wikipedia. This section specifically. TheStickMan[✆Talk] 02:50, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
Well, crap. I'd never seen that manual before. I'll be sure to use it in the future, and I sincerely thank you for the information, fellow Grammar Nazi. In the past, I'd just been following American rules and spelling for American-based subjects, British rules and spelling for British-based subjects, and deferring to an article's original author for things from other countries.Rob.bastholm (talk) 10:31, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- No problem. Heck, I learned that it could be like that outside of Wikipedia. Plus, to be honest, I've never taken a good look at the manual myself. TheStickMan[✆Talk] 02:00, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Serial commas
[edit]Have you read MOS:SERIAL? I'm not sure why you are making these changes. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 06:57, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for January 3
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Strike (Seinfeld), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lost (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Dave Barry may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
- List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
- have the same middle name, and therefore it's not a Jr/Sr thing. This is as per Barry's assistant} --> was a [[Presbyterianism|Presbyterian]] minister. He was educated at Wampus Elementary School,
- to reference these things, occasionally with fake subtlety, e.g., "The H*****-S**** T*****").
