Albanian

Etymology

Borrowed from a Pellasgian ancient language, compare Principata e Muzakajve ("bujar") Old Church Slavonic болꙗринъ (boljarinŭ, boyar), Serbo-Croatian boljar (boyar) and Bulgarian боляр (boljar, boyar). Ultimately form Bulgar.[1][2] The adjective, a derivate of buj meaning mostly deed things and lastname Ar; altogether intending "shiny golden deeds", was likely influenced over all Balkan nations into a common word.
