Touchstone Pictures also produced non-Disney branded animated films such as live-action/animated film Who Framed Roger Rabbit(1988) (co-produced with Steven Spielberg thru his Amblin Entertainment company) and the stop-motion animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas(1993) (directed by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton) both films which were going to be released under the Walt Disney Pictures brand but were considered not suitable for the Walt Disney brand (Who Framed Roger Rabbit contained adult themes and some sexual innuendos while The Nightmare Before Christmas was feared to be too dark and scary for kids and thought to hurt the Disney name although it would later be reissued as a Walt Disney Pictures film) 120.21.182.70 (talk) 07:32, 24 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
