Why is this page contentious, and that of competitive UK PC magazine PC Pro not? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Simonjary (talk • contribs)
I made a minor change regarding the launch date: although the cover said October, the magazine first appeared at the very end of August 1995 - I attended the Windows 95 launch in London during the first week that it went on sale. One of the vagaries of the UK magazine publishing market is that months listed on a cover tend to be one or two months in advance of the actual sale date so that consumers will not be tempted to think "It's nearly the end of the month and this is out of date - I'll wait a week or so before buying a copy."
