Tsukasa serves as the primary antagonist of the manga's early story arcs where he caused the apparent death of Senku. During the Vs. Hyoga arc, Tsukasa learns from Hyoga that Senku is still alive. During the Communications arc, Tsukasa is betrayed by Hyoga causing him to team up with Senku.
