English: İsmail Gaspıralı (Gasprinski) (1851-1914) was a famous Crimean Tatar intellectual, educator, publisher and politician with the newspaper Terjuman – Translator and his textbook Khoja-i-sübyan – The Teacher of Children in his hand. Two men threatening him look like a Tatar and Azerbaijani clerics (Molla Nasreddin, April 28, 1908, №17).

Inscriptions: Say Üsuli-cedide khilaf sherietdir – What is against the New Methods is Islamic Sharia law and Tekfir – apostasy, declaration of him as unbeliever.
