Plot
A recap of the last episode is done in the style of Survivor as the Griffin family vote Brian Griffin out of their house. While Peter Griffin comments to Jeff Probst that he's the only one who makes cargo shorts and sandals a good fashion appearance, he then leaves as a side effect of not pooping in 33 days.
In the present, Brian is told by his building manager Lou Spinazola that he is behind on his rent. Brian states that he has called the Griffin family who have not returned any of his calls lately.
Peter Griffin, Glenn Quagmire, Cleveland Brown, and Joe Swanson are excited to carry on their longstanding tradition of watching Rocky IV around the same time that it was originally released in 1985 as Lois Griffin wants the family to visit her parents. While Peter states that Carter hates him, Lois allows Peter to sit out after an incident that was a repeat of the 1989 Polaner All Fruit commercial. Peter even showed the commercial to the viewers to see if they understand the cutaway.
Lois Griffin then takes Chris Griffin, Meg Griffin, and Stewie Griffin to see her parents. Unfortunately, Peter has mishandled his DVD copy so it no longer works and can't get his Apple TV to stream the movie. Quagmire then asked if he can see if on PlayStation. The group finds a bootleg version at the Quahog Mini-Mart, but it's from Russia. Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland and Joe are angry to see that this movie edits things so that Ivan Drago defeats Rocky Balboa. Peter angrily writes a protest letter to Vladimir Putin claiming that an American can beat a Russian.
Meanwhile, Brian Griffin gets a job at a suicide hotline where he makes contact with Stewie who poses as Brian going through the after-effects of the incident.
While watching Captain America: Civil Union, Peter is visited by Vladimir Putin who challenge him to a fight where he even calls Peter a chicken. As an in-joke, representatives from Publishers Clearing House show up with a large check for "Chicken." Peter survives a brutal beating from the Russian President because his bodyguards wouldn't let Peter hit him. After the fight, Stewie notices a tweet on Putin's phone by Donald Trump who heard that he is in the neighborhood and wants to know if he wants to get some pussy together.
During his job at the suicide hotline, Brian develops a crush on a co-worker named Martha. Martha isn't interested in him and a frustrated Brian spirals downward. This causes Brian to look her up on Facebook account to see if she has any female relatives. After following the off-camera advice of Dr. Fishbein, she decides to go take up Brian's offer as her theme song is played. She catches Brian masturbating to pictures of her sister and mother causing her to storm off. The theme concludes with the words saying that Dr. Fishbein is portrayed by Judd Hirsch.
At the Drunken Clam, Peter is visited by Vladimir who grows to like Peter and they become friends. Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland, Joe, and Putin then ride shirtless on the horses down the street. Peter is then invited to go back to Russia with Putin and be his friend. While Peter is reluctant at this, he gets on the plane when he sees a drunk Brigitte Nielsen charging towards them. She grabs onto the airplane's wheel as it takes off and she falls from the sky. As Chris prays for a blonde woman to appear on his bed, a boy falls on his bed while Brigitte falls into Herbert's yard where he states that their prayers got mixed up.
At his apartment, Brian tells Lou about what happened and that he might get fired if Martha reports him to his superior. Lou gives Brian a choice to either be evicted or let him help set up Martha on cocaine possession as revenge on her. As they leave to get the cocaine from Lou's car, the people from Publishers Clearing House show up at Brian's apartment where they are unaware that Brian is not in his apartment at the time.
In Russia, Peter is given a ride in Putin's limo where he does different reactions to each of it's women until one reacts towards him. In addition, the radio show "Weenie and the Butt" has a Russian counterpart in "The Penis and the Buttocks."
At the suicide hotline, Martha apologizes to Brian for getting angry at him as two police officers arrive. They find cocaine in Martha's desk and arrest her. Martha blames Brian for setting her up and attacks him for framing her as the police officers try to break up the fight. This results in Brian accidentally falling down the stairs and breaks his leg where he ends up licking it.
After witnessing an incident at Putin's dining table that repeated the 1989 Polaner All Fruit commercial, Peter does a call-back to that for the viewers. He soon finds himself no longer tolerating Putin who reveals that Roger Goodell is a Russian spy and plans to suspend Tom Brady again to rig the NFL season just like how they rigged the 2016 Presidential Election so that Donald Trump would win over Hilary Rodham Clinton. Peter then challenges Putin to a boxing match.
At the Russian wrestling ring, Peter and Vladimir face each other. After numerous brutal rounds with both men getting badly beaten, a concussion-induced vision of Lois appears and makes the two men stop fighting and sing "Say You, Say Me" together. Peter's narration states that Putin poisoned him with radioactive tea and left him nearly dead and disfigured with no hair and the loss of his body weight. Peter finishing the episode by noting "This is our President's best friend."
