I prefer the SI system and believe that pages should also include the Imperial system equivalent in paranthesis follwing a number. Wikipedia is, afterall international (and the US seems reluctant to go metric).
I beleive that every wikipedia page should have a "List of Terms and Concepts" section or something similar for 3 reasons.
- 1. Wikipedia is used by thousands of people of all ages every day. If I cannot understand the page, neither will say, a school age reader.
- 2. Having to define every other word in an article is just rediculous, as is having to open a seperate page to define these words then decipher which meaning was intended.
- 3. If a user is reading a wikipedia article chances are that they are trying to learn about the subject and do not alrady have an in-depth knowledge of it. Many articles seem to be written as if they were intended for someone already educated in their subject.
For an example see geocentric orbit.
