Argyle Goolsby (born Steve Matthews in Bluefield, West Virginia in 1979[1]) is an American horror punk/punk rock singer and bassist. He is best known for being the lead vocalist, bassist and co-founder of Blitzkid in 1997.

Although the band was disestablished in 2012, Goolsby pursues a career as a solo artist, releasing albums under his name and playing with his band named Argyle Goolsby and the Roving Midnight and, in 2016, he began working on acoustic material with The Hollow Bodies.

Career

Blitzkid (1997-2012)

Between 1997 and 2012, Goolsby recorded seven studio albums with Bliztkid[1]..

The musical arrangements of the band's debut album were completed before July 2007, but Doyle did not yet find a vocalist,.[2][3] Doyle finally recruited vocalist Landon Blood for the recordings of the album[4] and ex-Blitzkid drummer Jesco Devilanse (Andrew "Stipes" Winter).[5]

Later in 2007, Gorgeous Frankenstein played their first tour, opening for Danzig. This line up included Argyle Goolsby (who also acted as lead vocalist, since Landon Blood left the band) and Dr. Chud on drums.[4] Stephanie Bellars (Gorgeous George) was part of these shows as a dancer.[6]

Personal life

Music will always be a part of Goolsby<s life as he continues to write songs and record music. Outside of touring with BK, he is a fulltime tattoo artist at Wufu Tattoos in his hometown of Bluefield. Here, he will continue to work to spread his talents through needle as opposed to microphone[8].
