Colourmeinkindness is the second studio album by English rock band Basement.

Production

Recording took place at The Panda Studios in Fremont, California with producer Sam Pura[4] in July 2012.[5] Pura also engineered and mixed the recordings.[4] Mastering was handled by T W Walsh.[4]

Release

Prior to the album's release, the band announced on 19 July 2012 that they were going on hiatus.[6] In said announcement, the group revealed that the hiatus was "[d]ue to a number of personal commitments".[6] On 9 September, "Spoiled" was made available for streaming.[7] On 13 September, "Covet" was made available for streaming.[8] Colourmeinkindness was made available for streaming on 15 October,[9] before being released on 23 October through Run for Cover.[10] In mid-November, the band played their final shows,[11] prior to their 2014 reunion.

Despite the lack of press coverage or live dates to support it, the album has since sold over 25,000 copies worldwide.[15]
