English singer-songwriter Paloma Faith has recorded songs for three studio albums and guest features. After signing a contract with record label Epic Records in January 2012, Faith began to work on her debut studio album, Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?, which was ultimately released in September 2009. The first single released from the album was "Stone Cold Sober", which Faith wrote in collaboration with Patrick Byrne and Blair MacKichan. She also collaborated with Jodi Marr on the single "New York", and shared writing credits with Ed Harcourt on the album's title track. At this time, the singer also contributed guest vocals on Josh Weller's song "It's Christmas (And I Hate You)" (2008).
Faith released her second studio album, Fall to Grace, in May 2012. In addition to reuniting with writers with whom she had previously worked, the singer collaborated with several new writers and producers. The album's lead single, "Picking Up the Pieces", was co-written by Faith, Wayne Hector and Tim Powell. Faith collaborated with Chris Braide on the single "30 Minute Love Affair"; she co-wrote "Black & Blue" with Eg White and with Greg Wells and Matt Hales on "Just Be". A Perfect Contradiction, the singer's third studio album, was released in March 2014. It was preceded by the single "Can't Rely on You", which Faith co-wrote with Pharrell Williams. She collaborated with Diane Warren on "Only Love Can Hurt Like This" and recorded a cover version of Sisters Love's "The Bigger You Love (The Harder You Fall)".
