Harz Railway → Trans-Harz Railway – Logic:
- The current name is not an accurate translation and is confusing, because this is only one of several Harz railways.
- "Trans-Harz Railway" is an accurate translation ("trans-" = "across").
- It follows the common English convention for naming such railways (e.g. Trans-Siberian Railway, Trans-Andean railways and Trans-Australian Railway)
- It is used by many sources including railway specialists (e.g. railwatch and railfaneurope), Harz organisations (e.g. thisisharz) and the English-speaking press (Los Angeles Times).
- Support - proposer's vote, for reasons stated above. Bermicourt (talk) 11:56, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose - I've never heard of it refered to in this way in English. The official name in German is Harzer Schmalspurbahnen [1], which translates as Harz Narrow Gauge Railways. An optimist on the run! 12:22, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
