{{help}} i was trying to add a comment into talk:megaupload but i have seamed to of messed it up and cant fix it. Sophie (Talk) 15:12, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

OK; I just restored the version previous to your edits [1]
Your first edit looked OK, actually [2].
It was when you 'undid' it that some oddness came in [3].
I've heard before that using Skype can mess up editing; probably best to disable it when using Wikipedia.
Hope that is OK; pop in to IRC if you need me. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  15:37, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
ahh ok, thx :) Sophie (Talk) 17:25, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

BBFC Image usage

{{adminhelp}}{{help}}

for the images used on this page, if you go onto them, they are high quality but in the fair use part the resolution says "low" which they arnt. is that correct? Sophie (Talk) 17:28, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

It's OK; they are Scalable Vector Graphics format, .svg, which means that they are not made of dots, but made of geometric shapes. Therefore, they don't have any fixed resolution, and can be displayed at any size.
As long as the size used is not excessive, it is OK.
I notice that in Template:Non-free_use_rationale#note-resolution it mentions that we should put "SVG will be rendered at low resolutions" in the 'resolution' part, for them, so you could do that if you like.
It's a tricky area, actually, regarding SVGs, but in this specific case I don't think it is anything to worry about. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  17:36, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
ahh, makes sence :) Sophie (Talk) 14:05, 25 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Quick Note

I believe the reason why fr:User:Dunderklumpen couldn't create the user page wasn't quite because they weren't autoconfirmed, but because they weren't logged in. It seems that the local account wasn't attached to the global account. They've placed a request at WP:USURP. Thwy should be able to edit here after the usurp. Also, a little birdie told me that you're interested in magic words and parser functions. Set Sail For The Seven Seas 330° 56' 15" NET 22:03, 17 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

ahh, i thought so, said it on his account here

"perpahs its because your not confirmed so you cant create pages? anyway, iv created the page user:Dunderklumpen and you should be able to edit it now."

and yes :) that little bird must be able to read my mind :) Sophie (Talk) 20:49, 18 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
I guess they can indeed! :D So, how much templatey stuff has Uncle Chzz taught you so far? I noticed that you copied over the code from my user and user talk pages. You may need to change a few things like the pagename bits so that the code works in your sandbox. Try changing all cases of User:Thesevenseas to User:Sophie/sandbox18 at User:Sophie/sandbox18, all cases of User talk:Thesevenseas to User:Sophie/sandbox17 at User:Sophie/sandbox17, save, refresh the page and see what happens! well not much, iv done a bit of self learning for some things, like how the featured article has a edit notice what only shows on that day :) and i save them so i can like learn more to use on my wiki :) and i know, when i looked at the code for that, i said to my self, thats aswome :) Sophie (Talk) 23:09, 19 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
That's usually the best way to go about it. When you say your wiki, are you referring to your userspace or wikia? Did you manage to figure out how the featured article edit notice works? If you didn't, I can explain it for you. Glad to hear you like the code on my user and user talk pages. I actually use similar code for my signature. Set Sail For The Seven Seas 11° 35' 0" NET 00:46, 20 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
yep :) for my wiki, i mean my own persoanl wiki (own site), i dont like wikia because you cant get monobook. i managed to figure it out in User:Sophie/sandbox11 and yep :) its cool :P Sophie (Talk) 00:53, 20 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
You have your own wiki? Brilliant! I use the switch parser function and {{DISPLAYTITLE}} on my user and user talk pages. I allows the colours to change when you refresh the page. I use this in my signature as well so that it changes colours. I can show you how it works if you want. Set Sail For The Seven Seas 312° 51' 15" NET 20:51, 20 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
yep :) it will be for missing people, so the name is kinda easy to guess :P and i plan for it to be link wikipedia one day and part of the foundation. and i know i saw :) i also saw it changed colour after every edit but what happens if the edit is highter then the highest number in the count? and ok :) Sophie (Talk) 12:59, 22 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Sound good! If the edit is higher then the highest number in the count, then the mod function will reduce it so that it is in the count. Set Sail For The Seven Seas 278° 4' 15" NET 18:32, 28 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

The edit you just reverted was by the author of Steven Bratter. He blanked it because he wanted it deleted. Wayne Olajuwon chat 22:15, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

when i saw it, the previous editor has added some stuff and it looked like vandlism, saw the {{csd-g7}} tag :) Sophie (Talk) 22:17, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
It looked it like vandalism, but he blanked it because he wanted it deleted. Wayne Olajuwon chat 22:19, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
I mean, on the left, there was a contrib, on the right a blank, and the editors were different so thats why it looked like vandlism. Sophie (Talk) 22:21, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Oh that's why. Wayne Olajuwon chat 22:22, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Also if a user or IP address vandalizes my user talk page, will you please revert it? Wayne Olajuwon chat 23:42, 31 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
will do :) althought yesterday Huggle went funny and only showed the top lines of pages =/ Sophie (Talk) 12:26, 1 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
