Too Fat to Fish is a book written by actor, comedian and The Howard Stern Show co-host Artie Lange with author and journalist Anthony Bozza, published by Spiegel & Grau, a division of Random House. The book is available in hardcover, audio CD, and audio download format, released on November 11, 2008.[1] The book is a collection of narrative episodes throughout Lange's life, from his childhood to his USO trip to Afghanistan in July 2008. The book's foreword is written by Howard Stern,[1] with Lange also dedicating the book to Stern. It is said that Lange writes about his "most personal revelation" somewhere in the book.[2]

Release information
Pre-release
In June 2008 it was reported that Too Fat to Fish hit the Amazon list at #27, five months before the book's scheduled release in November.
Chapter eight of the book, Pig in Shit, was made available for reading on-line, as well as various clips of the audio book, including Lange explaining to the listener why he decided to discontinue reading the remainder of the book, from ArtiesTooFat.com, now the book's official web site.[3]
On November 3, it was reported by the Howard 100 News that the billboard advertising Too Fat to Fish at Broadway and 54th Street in Manhattan, New York City is up.[3][4]
Post-release
By November 12, one day after the book's release, Too Fat to Fish became #1 in Amazon.com's "Hot New Releases"[5] and #8 in "Bestsellers in Books" lists.[6]
The book debuted at number one on the New York Times best seller list under hardcover non-fiction.[7]
The book has received some media attention for it's unusual, humorous title, based on something Lange's mother once said. It was notably referenced twice on the Top Ten List segment on the Late Show with David Letterman.[8][9]
Audio book
The unabridged audio book was partly read by Lange himself (6 chapters), The Howard Stern Show producer Gary Dell'Abate,[10] comedian "The Reverend" Bob Levy,[11] who has reading difficulties and never graduated from high school, and comedian Jim Florentine.
