Mur (river)

Mura is river, the subsidiary of bigger Drava and Danube - (Dunav)river has its source in Austrian national park Hohe Tauern - (Visoke Ture). The source is on 1898 m above the see level. Its total length is 438 km, 295 km in Austria and 70 km as the border line with both Austria and Hungary. It does end near Legrad in Podravina region of Croatia where flows into Drava river. It is known to cary small quantities of gold, however not suitable for exploatation today but was the focus of activity of local people during yhe history.
